McEnroe: ‘Get more trash-talk between tennis players’

Ho letto questo articolo che mi è sembrato interessante, effettivamente è divertente fantasticare su un ritorno a un tennis un po' più sanguigno e con meno regole... cosa ne pensate?

“If you really want to get it more exciting: no linesmen. And have the players call their lines. That would make the game more exciting, I promise you. It would be awesome. You would have more of what we liked in the past.
“It was fun when guys were trash-talking each other and yelling at each other, me and Connors, or whatever. You’d start getting more of that. You’d also have the challenge, the replay system. It’s not as if it’s not there. And you’d have an umpire who could settle some type of dispute if necessary.
“The players need to be able to feel they can express themselves. In other sports, you’re protected more. I’m sure on the soccer pitch, they’re not saying: ‘Hello, how are you?’ Or on the rugby field.

mah, Theo ricordo molto bene Mac e gli altri fare i matti perché non c'era hawk eye... si, era divertente, ma è nettamente meglio vedere buon tennis che buone litigate...

per vedere buon tennis bisogna prendere coscienza che i materiali e tecnologie fanno la differenza rispetto al passato quindi magari c'è qualche regola da "aggiustare", anche nel baseball la mazza deve essere costruita secondo certe regole... sembra che nel tennis le racchette no... solo la lunghezza...

poi, ci sarebbe da capire  sta storia del doping...

per ultimo prendere le redini delle gestioni nazionali: se c'è un calo o, come in Italia, un "buco" tra i 15 ed i 19 anni con altri che si stufano prima, direi che con pochi giocatori, poco divertimento... lanciare un programma di campi comunali gratuiti nei parchi pubblici? ritornare a far vedere a tutti almeno le semifinali e finali degli slam oltre che le partite dei nazionali? Si, perchè gli slam sono dell'ITF e noi (come gli altri) partecipiamo anche come nazione...
